The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is coming to Canada, and it comes equipped with Honda’s Innovative Two-Motor Hybrid Technology, Standard Honda Sensing, and Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System! Keep reading to learn more!
Performance
Two-Motor Hybrid System: Offering a Two-Motor Hybrid System under the hood, the 2020 CR-V Hybrid is similar to the Honda Accord Hybrid, with some added advancements to the battery’s operating range. The high-efficiency 2.0-Liter DOHC i-VTEC Atkinson-Cycle Engine, is combined with a Two-Motor Hybrid-Electric Powertrain – comprised by an Electric Propulsion Motor, and a Generator/Starter Motor, which has been built with a patented Honda design – generating an amazing 232 lb.-ft. of torque and 212 horsepower! This Two-Motor Hybrid System also offers three distinct drive modes – EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive – automatically selecting the best mode for the road conditions, with no input from the driver.
Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System: In addition, the 2020 CR-V Hybrid’s Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System, uses special software to determine traction conditions when AWD is most useful. When the system isn’t needed, an electronically controlled clutch deactivates power delivery to the rear wheels to improve fuel efficiency.

Exterior Design
Distinguishing itself from the rest of the CR-V line-up, the 2020 CR-V Hybrid comes with unique front and rear styling, including Hybrid Badging on the Grille, Front Fenders, and Tailgate! You will also notice the (hybrid-exclusive) 5-Lamp LED Fog Lights, as well as a unique Rear Bumper Design! The 2020 CR-V Hybrid also benefits from a new Headlight Design, new Alloy Wheel Design (for EX and EX-L trims), and new 19-Inch Wheels on Touring trims – similar to the rest of the 2020 CR-V lineup!

Interior Design
On the inside, the CR-V Hybrid offers a spacious cabin (as do the non-hybrid models), including the Full-Flat Folding 60/40-Split Second-Row Seat. Also unique to CR-V Hybrid models are three buttons to the right of the Push-Button Gear Selector – that let the driver select between Sport, EV and ECON modes – helping to maximize power and fuel efficiency! The CR-V Hybrid also comes with a Digital Gauge Cluster, offering distinct functions from the non-hybrid models, such as a Power-Flow Meter.

Honda Sensing Technologies
The new 2020 CR-V Hybrid also comes with standard Honda Sensing Technologies, which is a suite of safety and driver assist technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking, Forward Collision Warning with Pedestrian Sensing Capability, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Lane Keeping Assist! Additional safety technologies also include (available) Blind Spot Information, LED Headlights, Smart Entry with Pushbutton Start, Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, Auto High Beam Headlights, and Cargo Cover.
